What genre(s) were you drawn to when you were younger? Was there a reason that genre(s) appealed to you the most? Science Fiction/ Horror

What were some of your favorite books growing up? Why?  The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Heinlen, Earth Sounds and Heat by Robert Heinlein and Needle by Hal Clement. I liked them because  they told of things I either hoped would happen  or feared would happen.

What are some of your favorite books today? It by Stephen King, Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors by Carl Sagan, The Far Pavilions by MM Kaye and A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens

What inspired you to become a writer? I love the power and magic of words. Books took me to places, I never thought to go,  gave me things I didn't think I could ever have and I wanted to share my journey.

Sister World: The Arrival

 

Terah, a planet in an alternate universe, is a mirror of Earth. Terah is at war. Frauliege, her despotic ruler is bringing their war to Earth. The fate of Terah is in the hands of Kahill and Becarra. Hearing of her plan, they brave the wormhole connecting both worlds to search for their mirrors and find a way to warn our world of the quiet invasion. With Peter and Becky’s help a new army will arise and the Earth will fight to keep her freedom.

Sister World is the series,  Return to Terah the last book, it has received Second Place in the BookFest Book Awards 2024

Tell us a little about how “Sister World: The Arrival.” came to be. Did it start with an image, a voice, a concept, a dilemma or something else?  Sister World begins when two alien youths from Terah realize their enemies have discovered our world and are secretly planning to take it over. Finding out that no one from their Resistance can make the journey to Earth, Kahill and his sister Becarra, face the danger not knowing if their journey would be successful or even if they  would survive the journey.

Which scene, character or plotline changed the most from first draft to published book?  It wasn't supposed to be a series and I planned to end the story with sudden decisive battle on a secluded. The character needed more and the one became three as the story had to end where it began.

Which character was the most challenging to create. Why?  Colonel Jurgen Richter. He played a pivotal part in the events on Earth. His complicated life and intelligence had to evolve.

What do you like best about being a writer? I like my books to be based in a changed reality. I love the research needed to do this. I also like my quiet time where its just me and the people I've created.
